Overall Score 4.2
Summary

The IWA has a nice selection of wine cellars, wine racks, cooling units, and other wine related accessories. The site is well organized and makes it easy to search for specific items by size, brand, style, type, or price. Each product lists dimensions, features, and complete descriptions, along with pictures of each item. The prices are clearly shown and any additional shipping charges are listed. One annoying thing about the site is the over-sensitivity of the rollover search buttons. As you narrow your searches down it?s easy to accidentally drift off the tab or click the wrong link.

One interesting aspect of the IWA site is The Wine Minute which features one minute audio tips from wine expert Tom Simoneau. These monthly tips cover such wine related topics as barrel fermentation, aroma & bouquet, and tips on specific wines.

Overall, the IWA website is a nice, well organized, and user-friendly site that provides a wide range of wine storage and wine accessory products to consumers and wine-related businesses alike. The information on the site is clear and understandable and their ordering and shipping procedures are simple and easy to use.

Overall Score 3.8
Summary

The Wine Enthusiast website is a little on the confusing side. While it provides a variety of different search criteria, it?s difficult to know where to begin. There are tabbed choices at the top that divide the different individual categories, but when you get to the specific pages there are too many choices to choose from. You can click on the category list to the side, choose one of the featured products in the middle, or pick one of the most popular products to the right. It?s a little overwhelming for the casual buyer.

The best part of the site, however, is the link to the Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Here you can find extensive information on specific wines, read wine and spirit ratings, view vintage charts, and read feature articles from the magazine.

Wine Enthusiast offers a wide range of custom wine cellar and wine racking designs that are perfect for those with a large budget and a serious interest in wine collecting. They also offer a wide range of racks and cooling units. Overall, the Wine Enthusiast website is better suited for someone with a more advanced knowledge of wine understanding.

Summary

The Wine Rack Store website has a certain charm to it that isn?t seen on other wine rack websites. This is probably due to the fact that it is family-owned and the website certainly provides that down-to-earth feeling. That?s not to say it?s not a good website, in fact it seems to be one of the most well organized sites we?ve seen. While their selection of products is more limiting than their mammoth counterparts, they offer all the basics that you would need in order to build any size wine rack or wine cellar system you desire. Their low price guarantee is quite evident as you peruse their selection of products and notice the affordable pricing.

The most prominent selection of wine racks and cellars come in cedar, fir, or pine, but they do offer some decorative metal racks as well. In addition, there are a variety of unique and interesting wine accessories available, including attractive wine bottle displays, decorative wine glass charms, and even ladies jewelry handmade by the wife of the owner! Overall, the website is easy to navigate, provides excellent information about its products, and offers incredibly good prices for any wine consumer.

Perhaps the most important benefit of buying any product from eWineRacks.com is their shipping policy. Most items are shipped to you free of charge via FedEx Ground to the 48 contiguous states. Even the $1,000 wine storage units shipped for free, however most took 4-10 days to be delivered. But what do you want, it?s free! For instance, their 8 bottle thermoelectric wine cellar cools wine without the use of a compressor, making the unit completely noise and vibration free which benefits both you and your wine.
